ROLES
EGM have volunteer opportunities in a range of roles and are developing new ones all the time.
We like to meet applicants to discus volunteering, EGM’s volunteering ethos and what you will enjoy. All volunteers receive a tailored induction and ongoing reviews and support.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Drop In host
- Support listener
- Group facilitator
- Media & Publications
- Community Stall Host
- Organisation Link volunteer
More specialist roles include web design, fundraising, and project development.

EGM do not employ staff and rely on a dedicated team of volunteers who bring skills and time freely to help support individuals and local groups.
Volunteers are male and female coming from a variety of backgrounds making EGM diverse and strong reflecting community needs.
There is one very important attribute volunteers bring that paid staff cannot . They give of their time freely and help because they care.
Volunteering for EGM gives an insight into the problems some individuals face and allows you to meet a broader range of people and be involved with like minded people. Some volunteers want to acquire new skills while others contribute skills acquired in professional occupations.
All our volunteers share EGMs support ethos, respect confidentiality and volunteer in a way that safeguards vulnerable adults.
